What You Need
You'll need just a few tools...
- Can opener
- Fine mesh sieve, strainer, coffee filter, or colander
...and some ingredients
- 2 cups coconut milk (canned or fresh works, I used canned)
- 3 tsp Birch Boys Loose Chaga Tea
- 2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or vanilla bean paste, if you can find it)
- 1 cup water
- Sugar to taste (optional)
Let's Make it!
To start, put your coconut milk into your saucepan and heat on medium. Because my coconut milk was canned (and I live in a very cold area) I had to melt it to a less thick consistency. Once your coconut milk is melted, you can add all of your other ingredients.
Next, just stir it up and heat on medium for 5-7 minutes, and you'll see some beautiful color developing!
Look at that gorgeous golden milk!
Now just strain out the Chaga chunks add sugar if you're so inclined, and enjoy!
