I have had the coffee,& know I love it. I had been thinking about a French press for a while,& it’s perfect for just me. The mug is a beautiful neutral color,& a big 16 oz. This is a fantastic deal for the price,& makes a great gift, even to yourself.
Having spent several hours online researching Chaga, I'm very glad Birch Boys finally popped up. The difference in apparent quality between BB chaga and other brands was striking. The 16oz bottle came with a pump and funny little measuring device. Two full pumps dispenses just slightly over their 'serving size' of 4ml. Taste? It's like a very mild Root Beer or Sarsaparilla without the added sugar, and perhaps a little smokiness reminiscent of maple sap as it comes from the tree (when making syrup). Quite palatable. Mixes immediately in a small glass of water with no stirring necessary, just a few swishes. Shipping across the country was fast. With its very eco-conscious harvesting approach, excellent website and fair pricing I am glad to recommend these guys to anyone. A classic American small-business success story, I reckon...
I absolutely love the coffee press gift set. I rated it 4 stars because of the coffee press. Beautiful, yet I was surprised that it had a glass handle and plastic lid. I'd rather not have a handle (so delicate) and put it in a sleeve holder with a handle. The rubber on the bottom of the glass at times catches on my counter top and I've almost knocked it over several times, with the slightest touch. I have to be very careful with the delicate coffee press.
I love the coffee mug, replicating handmade pottery. The size and the feel in your handle is nice. I would love to see a local artisan handcraft Birch Boys some unique pottery pieces. You can do limited editions each year. Still loving the coffee!
Just a short comment on Reishi: I Love It! I take it every night before bed, sleep great. I now have it on a monthly auto ship. Need I say more??
I swear by adaptogenic mushrooms and have been burned by tinctures in the past. My current stack only includes dual extract powders because, TLDR, 99% of tinctures are just snake oil (or should I say snake alcohol).
One day, my YT algorithim give me a video from Birch Boys and I was blown away by Garrett's deep love and passion for Chaga and Fungi. When I went on the website, I loved all of the educational material and transparent batch level lab reports. For the first time in a long time, I felt comfortable adding a tincture to my stack. I've had the Chaga for a couple weeks now. It give me a nice boost between morning and afternoon coffee. In fact, I don't really find myself going for an afternoon coffee much anymore. It looks great and suprisingly tastes pretty good as well. So far so good, I'm very impressed with the product and the team.
